Site Information
Accessibility
GoNowhere aims to make its stories and field knowledge usable by as many people as possible, across devices and assistive technologies.
Effective July 3, 2026
Current measures
The site uses semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard-accessible navigation and controls, visible focus behaviour, descriptive alternative text for meaningful imagery, responsive layouts, labelled form controls, and text contrast designed for the warm-paper visual system.
Reading and interaction
Browser zoom and text resizing are supported. Field Notes can be searched and filtered without a pointer. Expandable notes use native disclosure controls. Motion is limited to small transitions and the site respects the user’s scrolling environment.
Known limitations
Some editorial photography contains fine visual detail that cannot be fully conveyed in brief alternative text. Third-party browser extensions, font delivery, and rendering differences may also affect presentation.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is reviewed as routes and features are added. We prioritise fixes that block navigation, understanding, keyboard use, zoom, or assistive-technology access.
